We measure both the opening and the depth the projection can safely cantilever from the wall. The seat board sizing follows the unit dimensions and the planned shelf load.

INSTALL
Bracket Load + Drainage
The unit cantilevers from the wall and has to be supported above and below by brackets rated for the unit's weight plus a load allowance for whatever sits on the shelf. We seal against rain entry at the projection-wall joint.
